festés növényekkel - dyeing with plants

Régóta szerettem volna kipróbálni a növényi festést. A növényekhez amúgy is közel álltam kiskoromtól fogva, de amióta egyik szakmám is köt hozzájuk jobban is ismerem őket. Idén végre kipróbáltam, immár felkészülve, azaz több könyvet is végigböngészve. A végső lökést ennek a könyvnek a beszerzése és a nyár folyamán alapos átolvasása adta, így hazatérve a nyaralásból már hoztam is magammal egy-két termést, amik a hűtőben várakoztak a felhasználásra. Sikerült festendő alapanyagokat is beszereznem (gyapjúfonalat, gézt, timsót), így kezdődhetett a kísérletezés. Ez az elsőnek az eredménye, varjútövissel festett gyapjúfonal, pamutvászon és géz. Egyelőre elégedett vagyok, remélem meg is maradnak a színek, de ez majd csak később dől el. A géz igazából egy sál, ami már bevetésre is került, így az év eleji iskola-ovikezdés révén engem is elkapott egy torokfájós, vírusos valami, de pár nap alatt túl voltam rajta, mint ahogy a gyerekek is. A sál pedig pont jól jött a fájós toroknak. A fonalból sapkát tervezek és akkor meg is lesz a kollekcióm, mivel én melegebb sálakat nem is szoktam hordani, így ha anyagban nem is, színben nagyjából passzol majd a sapkához a sál.

I always wanted to dye with plants. Plants were part of my life from my childhood, but since one of my degree is in connection with them I know them a bit better. So at last I tried the process of dyeing this year after reading a few books dealing with the topic. I bought the last book  during the summer holidays and I had the chance to read it thoroughly. I think this was the biggest help for a start. Coming home from the holidays I  already had some wild berries in my pack and they were waiting in the fridge to be used. Then I managed to get some wool yarn and gauze to be dye and I began to experiment. These are in the picture are dyed with the berries of buckthorn. The gauze is actually a scarf that I have already used in this form because of my sore throat, and I liked to wear it very much. I plan to knit  a hat from the wool, so I will have my scarf-hat colllection from pretty much the same colour. And I just hope that they will retain their colour.

tanév végi 1. - end of the second semester 1.

Eljött az év vége és ezzel egy kicsit több időm vagyis nem több csak másképp beosztott időm lett. Egyrészt több, mert nem kell minden nap ide-oda futkosni a gyerekekkel, vinni-hozni őket, másrészt mivel itthon vannak, le kell kötni az energiáikat.

De most nem erről, hanem a tanév végéről akartam írni. Elsőként arról, hogy a kicsi lány, bár nekem úgy tűnik mintha tegnap lett volna, hogy ovit kezdett, de máris elballagott, jövőre elsős lesz. Az ő csoportjuknak is én készítettem a tarisznyákat (mint előző években a másodszülöttem csoportjának is), mindegyikhez megvarrtam a kis ballagó jelét is és egy-egy kis maci is bekerült (mert Maci csoportosak voltak) a fényképek és pogácsa mellé. Az óvó néniknek, dadusnak, vezetőnek pedig emlékül egy-egy szatyrot készítettünk, amire a most ballagó gyerekek (merthogy a csoportnak csak egyik fele ballagott a másik még marad 4. évre is az oviban) kéznyoma mellett egy általuk közösen festett kép is került transzferfóliás technikával.
Elbúcsúztunk a nyárra a zeneiskolától is, most itt is szatyrot ajándékoztunk, csak erre egy cselló árnykép került freezer paper-ből kivágott sablon segítségével, a csellózó gyerekeim színes ujjlenyomataival töltöttük ki a formát.

The end of the semester arrived and our days have changed in a way I have a bit more "free" time. I do not have to run from one place to another, but have other tasks here at home.
But I intended show you the things we made in connection with finishing the semester and not telling stories about our present days/weeks.

My little girl finished not only the semester, but her years in the kindergarten as she will start school in September (though I feel as if she started kindergarten yesterday). I made the little bags for each leaving child  (not the whole group left the kindergarten, only half of it). I also sewed their signs and made a little bear for each..as the group name was : Bear. We made little presents for the kindergarten teachers and nurses. Each leaving child pressed his or her hand on a shopping bag and these children painted together a picture which I copied onto the bags with the help of transfer papers.

We also said good bye till September for the violoncello teacher and we made her a bag with the picture of a cello. We used freezer paper for the pattern, and my two boys who play the cello printed in with their fingers different colours.
